Poster Design for Pitt Football (2)

This was an early draft of a Pitt football poster I was commissioned to design a few years back. The marketing department gave me a really beat up helmet and suggested they wanted it to be the focal point. I snapped the raw photo you see below and then grunged it up with some dark textures. The cathedral was darkened to seem more ominous as well. Ultimately this version was not used, but it's still an interesting case study demonstrating how textures and color filters can completely change the mood of an image.
